I just had the good fortune to see and use the newest service from fellow Chicagoans (well, at least the founder) 37Signals. This is going to be their biggest and most popular service yet. Kudos in advance to Jason, David, and the rest of the Signals. This app changed the way I think about instant messaging in about 10 minutes. If they can scale this, they win. I probably just cursed them and people will see this app and think "THIS is what you're excited about?!" but in a business context - and I use IM in business contexts all the time - this is the answer.
