Live: Google AdSense for Feeds Integration
Good news for publishers: If you have been approved for the Google AdSense for feeds public beta, you can now use FeedBurner to run the program without editing your publishing templates at all. Just add the Google AdSense service to your FeedBurner feed, and as always, we'll take things from there.
We have also enabled additional options like "only include ads once every X posts" so that you can determine ad insertion frequency, and the optional "only include ads on posts greater than X words" allows you to skip ads on brief posts. Over the coming weeks, we will be adding more optional features to this service to make your ad programs even more configurable.
To participate, you will need a Google AdSense account that has been approved for the public beta of AdSense for feeds. Once approved, using FeedBurner to manage the program for you eliminates the hassle of modifying the code (and then trial-and-error testing) in your publishing engine's templates. Just run your feed through us, activate the service, and that's that.
Quick FAQ
Q: Why would I use FeedBurner instead of just editing my publishing engine's templates, tweaking the template code, and then testing my feed?
A: Some people prefer to do things the easy way. FeedBurner is for those people.
Q: What if I'm not one of those people?
A: We provide a number of additional options that make the program more configurable for publishers, and we'll be adding to these configuration capabilities over the near term. You could try to keep editing your publishing system's templates to provide these services, or you could just drive everything through us and click the Google AdSense button. Your choice.
Q: Will you provide more services like this?
A: Yes!
Q: Anything else we should be asking?
A: Yes. FeedBurner provides this service as is on a trial basis. The Google AdSense for feeds program is a beta program. Google may make changes to the program, and FeedBurner may make changes to this service; the operative words being "may" and "change."

Satish, you need to be approved for the AdSense for feeds program with Google. The application link is in the main post here. Once you are approved by Google (they'll send you an approval email), all you need to do within FeedBurner is login, edit your feed, and select the Google AdSense service on our feed services page. We'll do everything else from that point on. Again, the links in the main body of this post will take you to the Google application page.
Hi
I've added my feed ID but I can't see any ads..... http://feeds.feedburner.com/Connected-InternetNewsAndDiscussion
Sounds good! Let's feedburn Google Adsense!
Dick, thanks for the help. It works.
This all is a little hazy to me (I basically just learned FrontPage 2003 and threw up my website a few weeks ago -- it's still under construction), but from what a newbie like me understands, I can target RSS feeds and my original content with Google AdSense ads?!? (I know -- 'duh.') LOL
Hey! Let's get it on like Marvin! This is cool!
I am interested in the last line on the FAQ that says: Google may make changes to the program, and FeedBurner may make changes to this service; the operative words being "may" and "change."
This phrase needs more highlights. Will you do.
Let me restate one important point: you need to be both (A) a member of Google AdSense and (B) approved for the Adsense for feeds beta program offered by Google. The (B) part seems to be overlooked most often, and it explains in just about every case why an AdSense user isn't seeing any ads in their feed after activating our service.
And yes, Noel, with this service someone who's got both (A) and (B) above covered and is already publishing a feed can insert Google's contextually relevant AdSense for feeds ads into their feed. The trick is making sure you're already publishing a technically valid feed of your latest web postings so that FeedBurner can modify and republish it. If you're using FrontPage 2003, I doubt you are publishing a feed -- but of course I could be wrong. Hop on over to our Support Forums (forums.feedburner.com) if you need help getting started with feed publication.
I guess you folks should take a look at my Posts on Google before even applaying for Ad-Sense.
Feed Burner is a great concept by itself. Just wonder why you need to bring Google into this.
Looking for more information on it. already have adsense and have applied for feedburner.
waiting for hearing more from them. Seems a nice idea though.
