SmartFeed(TM) Mobile Server
We're taking the wraps off of a product we've been working on for some time for larger commercial publishers, SmartFeed™ Mobile Server. With Mobile Server, we are providing commercial publishers with the ability reach as many feed subscribers as possible across the widest variety of devices, with a consistent user experience.
Over a year ago, we launched our free SmartFeed™ service, enabling publishers of any feed format to reach clients and aggregators that didn't support all formats. SmartFeed Mobile Server is a more detailed, configurable product for organizations that require more sophisticated controls and consistency for mobile feed subscribers. Potential customers of the Mobile Server include content aggregators that want to provide broad mobile access, publishers with large numbers of Blackberry or other Gateway-based subscribers, and content management system providers with the need to provide consistent feed delivery to mobile users.
As noted in our press release, there are a variety of needs and requirements SmartFeed Mobile Server addresses. These requirements include the ability to publish any feed format to single format support clients, image consistency across devices and adapters for getting through gateways that don't support xml content types. Organizations that require broad mobile distribution and consistent experience should email us to learn more about SmartFeed Mobile Server.
The free public SmartFeed service of course will remain free and has a couple of SmartFeed Mobile Server's capabilities. The goal of the free public service is to provide a simple mechanism for driving feeds to as many readers and aggregators as possible. SmartFeed Mobile Server has a number of additional configuration and setup components that provide more sophisticated tools for commercial publishers and content providers with more detailed requirements.

We would like to extend the reach of our video podcasts to cell phones and other mobile devices besides the video iPod. Will SmartFeed Mobile Server serve video?
