FeedBurner Crosses Chasm, Pond for VNU
As part of our ongoing strategy to travel abroad, today we announced our relationship with VNU Business Media Europe, the global information and media company with recognized brands in marketing information (ACNielsen), media measurement and information (Nielsen Media Research), business information (Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter, Computing, Intermediair) and directory publishing (Golden Pages).
VNU has partnered with FeedBurner to deliver a variety of RSS-related services including the first RSS advertising program in Europe, powered by the burning flame that is us. VNU has plans for widespread RSS support across a number of its platforms as the company embraces this new distribution channel. Check out our press page for more details.
While this may be big news for FeedBurner, you can rest assured that we're still the same friendly folks you've come to know and trust, and we promise to keep responding to your cards and letters.

As a European, I'd like to send my congratulations from across the pond.
Congrats!
Hi,
So what does this mean to us small podcasters who are trying to get enough viewers/listners to support and attract audio commercials to our podcasts?
Will the markerters/advertisers contact us or will there be alist of markerters/advertisers we can contact?
Or, will Feedburner be inserting the advertisements into our podcasts for us?
So many questions so little information about what this does for us as producers.
Please give more details.
Best regards
Toby Mack
P.S. I know this sounds one sided on my part but you have made obvious this is something you think is good for us as well as yourselves.
Toby, it's just a note to remark on a press release we made today regarding our work with major global publishers. We think it's important that everybody understand we work with publishers of all sizes. The last couple months we have focused our announcements and efforts around enhanced free services for podcasts. We are now turning our attention to major media accounts and global relationships, so that everybody gets the broadest possible sense for what we're doing and how our business is evolving. It will most certainly be the case that not every announcement we make has an impact on everybody that uses our service. On the other hand, it's clearly the case that as we flesh out this global network of publisher relationships, we hope to be in the best possible position to help ALL of our publishers leverage the entire network in order to a) get more free services and b) make more money
Congratulations! Let's hope we see more of these deals in Europe...
