We have big plans. This morning, we announced our relationship with Bokee (formerly BlogChina), one of China's largest and fastest growing blog and social media companies. With over 2 million blogs and growing at a rate of over 10,000 new blogs a day, Bokee is big and getting bigger.
One of the most interesting aspects of the partnership is our joint effort to offer digital media downloads like ringtones and wallpaper via RSS feeds. Mobile has long struck us as fertile ground for commerce feeds, and we're looking forward to working with Bokee to explore this market in China.
Of course, we will be managing blog feeds for Bokee and helping their community take advantage of our feed promotion, distribution and statistics services. There's plenty more to the relationship, and it's all there in that most exciting and dramatic of documents, the press release.
Given the latency of their feeds because they're overseas, do you plan to set up a data center there?
Posted by: Derek Scruggs at July 26, 2005 06:27 PMWe have a big roadmap for network operations growth that does indeed involve global distribution....the short answer to your question being that we will have an overseas data center, yes.
Posted by: Dick Costolo at July 26, 2005 08:19 PMThe BOKEE is not the best BSP in China. And the digital media downloads is not enough money to earn due to less people interest in.
So,BOKEE has less real blogger.there are lots of blogs post by person who they pay money for.
i wish everything goes well,BoKee&Feedburner!
Posted by: kilo at July 29, 2005 06:25 AMI'm not worried about China. My burning question is I registered with feedburner and succeeded right up to successfully activating my feed. I did it twice. But I can't get the html needed to display the logos for my feed. The link is defective. What a shame and feed burner is worried about china.
