Governor Schwarzenegger

Well, I was in San Francisco yesterday and today. I had the TV on my hotel room last night while i was working, and when the local newsperson said "Governor Schwarzenegger today....", it hit me. He really really IS the governor of an actual state. It doesn't really hit you until you see it on the local news, and let me tell you, they had a picture of him behind his big wood governor's desk, signing some constitutional amendment or something, and that guy is not looking very gubernatorial, let me tell you.

Is that how you spell that word? Gubernatorial? that's a stupid word; the word should be governorally, but maybe that sounds too much like "given orally"....how about governoresque, no. no no no, that's the same as governor-like. maybe this is how we ended up with gubernatorial. What about governally. yikes, this is why i'm not in the "making up new words" business. Governally sounds like a yiddish term for bad soup...."how was yours, Mervin?" "eh, a little governally" "that's too bad....you got some shmutz on your shirt". ok, thus ends today's jackie mason dialog snippet.

I just saw The Governor's name in Doonsebury: Herr Gröpenfuhrer. http://toons.today.excite.com/client/exc/db/2003/11/28/

Despite appearances, I really am NOT fascinated by this question of what to call this guy. It's a, you know, plate-o-shrimp phenomenon.

Dear Govenor,
I think you need to look at the salary for senators, and legislators. No one can stop them from giving themselves a raise. I feel money should be taken from them. Everyday people can not go around giving themself a raise with no one to stop them.
Cut back on them. Cut their business expense, travel expense, and car expense. Not take money from the people who are already poor. Not take money from the schools. Take money from the rich. Let them cut back on people they have doing their housework and cooking. Let them do their own housework and cooking like the everyday person who goes to work everyday.

Dear Gov. Schwarzenegger,
Sir, you are doing a very good job. I believe that the "girlie men" of the legislature are attempting to distroy our goverment. DON'T ALLOW THEM TO DO THIS. Keep up the good work !
