In response to requests from a number of publishers, we have added a service that enables publishers to splice into their feeds the following graphic and link for Red Cross donations in support of the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. The service is located on the "optimize" tab for your feed.

I'm going to enable it right now. Thanks, you guys are the best.
Posted by: Randy Charles Morin at September 2, 2005 07:24 PMDo the donations go in to the Red Cross funds pool or is it being set aside for the relief effort? Either way its something that needs to be done, just wondering.
Hi,
The banner links to the redcross donation form. On that form you can specify if you want your donation to go to the relief effort for Hurricane Katrina, the general fund, and/or additional programs.
Thanks,

Posted by: Quick Online Tips at September 3, 2005 10:50 AMYou guys are good. In a human-good kind of way. Thanks much for this. I've been wrestling with what I could do all day. One more thing down. One more reason you guys rock.
Posted by: Lisa McMillan at September 3, 2005 05:58 PMI wrote an original song for the victims of Katrina and used it in a moving slide presentation. There are links to the Red Cross and a number of other organization helping with the the rescue and cleanup. www.celliesplace.com check out the post entitled "a little more relief"
Posted by: Tom Cellie at September 5, 2005 08:14 PMIn response to the devistation of Hurricane Katrina, members of the flickr.com community have donated up for auction , over 400+ photographic works. Proceeds from the auction will go directly to the Red Cross relief fund.
You do not have to be a flickr member to donate, infact we are in need of more outside buyers --- all auctioned pieces are accepting email bids.
The auction will end 9/16/2005 : Items will go to the highest bidders.
Please look through all the posts, as a lot of fabulous pieces are being overlooked.
