It's still in beta, and no, it's not perfect, but Yahoo! 360 is a pretty good first stab at the "all about me" publishing platform that is really the next generation of blogging tools. The direction it's going is clear, and I must say I am mightily impressed. It's blogging, social networking, sharing of interests, lists, all rolled into one. RSS is a big part of how it's all rolled together.
Great job, guys!
You can see exactly how Flickr and MyYahoo! plugs in here (if this doesn't just become MyYahoo!), although I laugh at the conversion script Stewart Butterfield is going to have to write for this one. It's going to run for days!
If you know me, i think this is where I will center my personal publishing for my friends and family. It's just so much easier than MT, TypePad, etc. I'll probably stop using Flickr and start to move stuff over here. I don't really want all my stuff in ten places, it's just been out of necessity that it's been that way.
I'm still going to keep line of site here, so no need to move if you are here for the wireless/java content.
I'll be glad to invite you - just drop me a note. After all, it's all about the community - and I look forward to gettting to know my readers better.
right now, there's just a funny high school picture of me:
