I decided to throw out some rapid-fire fundamentals for all of you playing the rules of comedy home game. See if you can piece together some tidbits on your own from more of these basics:
Shorter is funnier than longer
Saying yes is funnier than saying no
Whispering is funnier than yelling. NOTE: This rule is violated constantly in cinema and most sketch comedy shows. In fact, whispering inappropriately is hysterical in almost any context (eg, CEO at annual shareholder meeting whispers his presentation? Fuh-nee!!)
