Rules of Comedy: Corporate Presentations Part 1

I have a wealth of data on comedy in the workplace, particularly within corporate presentations, but here's a quicky for you: NEVER try to funny-up a presentation by choosing a silly font or by dramatically enlarging the font size. This is known as violating the Clifford rule of unfunny. The Clifford rule states that "Clifford is a BIG RED DOG. GET IT? He's so big and so red, not like an actual dog! Isn't that hilarious?" Right, it's not hilarious. So it is with fonts. If you can't make 'em laugh in 12 point Times New Roman, get out of the business.

...in complete agreement. you know, it's also a shame that anyone would take a font entitled "Akzidenz Grotesk Oblique" seriously. but they do. all those 'k' sounds, and no funny in sight.
