For anybody that doesn't think TV advertising still works, my son has never been to mcdonalds, he has never had mcdonalds food. He is the pickiest eater on the planet. Basically, if it doesn't look like a french fry, he won't eat it. I have recently found myself making statements that ten years ago I would have never thought possible. Statements like "it's a meat french fry!" and "It's just like a french fry and it's called a carrot stick. It's the closest food possible to french fries!" Anyway, yesterday, while trying to get my son to eat an actual vegetable, he said "I want mcdonalds". What the hell? Clearly, this is not somebody who is going to be fooled into thinking that carrots are remotely related to french fries. I will need a new strategy.
